JavaScript Open Node

A JavaScript User Group in Luxembourg

2nd JSON Meetup Review and Slides

The topic of the second JSON meet-up was Backbone.js. The meet-up was quite a success and many interesting discussions around the topic of Backbone.js emerged during the presentation by littleiffel. The discussions quickly took us out of the scope of Backbone.js to a much broader view upon mobile apps, html5,… The presentation walked through the basics of Backbone using the sample Todo App.

The slides used during the presentation can be consulted by using this link.  The presentation was created with deck.js and its codemirror extension. This means that some code can be run from within the presentation and you can edit the example code in place.EDIT (13.05.2012): Maybe they will soon be available as a pdf file too (if deckjs2pdf allows). Thanks to deckjs2pdf the slides are now available as PDF, get them here. (Presentation slides backbones.js)

The 3rd meet-up is planned, following the directive of last Thursday of the month, to be on 31st May at 19h00. However the topic is still open, so stay tuned!
